Well whats happened since last time....Well where do I start.
On Sunday 5th June i was baptised!!!! Hallelujah praise God. I've finally found my way home for good :)
Do i feel any different....No, should i? .....No idea but one thing i do know is i have alot more love.Although on another note i am a little hurt aswell. Hurt?? you might ask, well yes when you love hurt is apart of the deal. But it doesnt mean you stop or only love this person and that person.I have come to love my family in Jesus and it seems that they are not as forthcoming in unconditional love as i am. So i look to God for healing in this.Does it mean i stop loving them ...NO!!!!!!!
Love, what is love well this is the age old question. For me Love is something from God,he chooses to love us uncondtionally no matter what we do, so for me this is how i want to love others.... with all the things i have been through it shouldn't be possible for me to love some would say but i do and i have lots to give.I was abused when i was younger, whenever i saw this man i couldnt walk past him, i had to take a detour around the long way so i could get to where i wanted to be.But now i see that just because of what he did doesnt mean he doesnt deserve love.We are not to judge whether or not people should be loved based on what they've done,Jesus doesnt do it so why should we?? If i was to see this man now i wouldnt go throw my arms around him, but i wouldnt hold anything agaisnt him either. When i forgave him i gave everything to God regarding that situation and so that anulls any thing that is not from God.
Loving people is hard. For me it is something i feel God has given me a gift for as it doesn't matter to me what, who where or why. Some people might say thats silly because we have to be careful who we love, afterall there are some not so nice characters out there nowadays. My question is did Jesus only love those who seemed good or did he love uncondtionally EVERYONE????? Did he only love people until they said or did something that hurt, or upset or offend him??? NO he loved them unconditionally no matter where they came from, he welcomed them open armed into his love, he didnt wait to see if they were right or wrong...afterall love is something that if you are a follower of God is readily available all the time.
Everyday I strive to be like Jesus and so that means loving everyone no matter what they've done. One question to ask when having a problem loving someone is does Jesus love them????? If we want to be more like Jesus then we should take a page out of his book!!!!!
Loving can cost, loving can feel unjust even. But remember what Jesus did for us on the cross. He died for us when we were his enemies. He died a sinless man for our sin.
